I’ve been working with Lutracad for a year now. We initially became aware of it because of the shoe last module. The first conversation with Randy was very insightful, and I knew right away that this was the software I wanted to use in modern orthopedic shoemaking. Over time, we also decided to model our insoles using Lutracad and produce them via 3D printing — which works without any issues.

I’m truly impressed by how extensive the Lutracad universe is and how everything is interconnected. The open nature of the software allows you to connect a variety of 3D and 2D scanners. They provide a database of compatible 3D printers, each tested by the company for suitability. When our printer (Raise3D Pro2 Plus) wasn’t listed, a quick email to support was all it took — and within just a few hours, we were up and running. That kind of support is worth its weight in gold. Communication via email is also quick and easy.

More recently, we’ve also equipped our field staff with tablets that use the Structure Sensor to perform 3D scans directly on the customer, allowing us to begin production immediately.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone looking to move into modern orthopedic shoemaking.
